Constraint-Induced Delocalization

چکیده
We study the impact of quenched disorder on dynamics locally constrained quantum spin chains, that describe 1D arrays Rydberg atoms in both frozen (Ising-type) and dressed ($XY$-type) regime. Performing large-scale numerical experiments, we observe no trace many-body localization even at large disorder. Analyzing role terms systems show they act two, distinct competing ways: as an on-site term for basic excitations system, interaction between excitations. The two contributions are same order, compete (one towards localization, other against it), one does never enter a truly strong disorder, weak limit, where occurs. Such mechanism is further clarified case XY-type models: there, which would represent bona fide local acting clean model must be written series nonlocal unconstrained variables. Our observations provide simple picture to interpret could immediately extended models or gauge theories.

Non-Gaussian normal diffusion induced by delocalization.
Non-Gaussian normal diffusion, i.e., the probability density function (PDF) is non-Gaussian but the mean squared displacement (MSD) depends on time linearly, has been observed in particle motions. Here we show by numerical simulations that this phenomenon may manifest itself in energy diffusion along a lattice at a nonzero, finite temperature. The studied model is a one-dimensional disordered l...
متن کاملDelocalization induced by nonlinearity in systems with disorder.
We study numerically the effects of nonlinearity on the Anderson localization in lattices with disorder in one and two dimensions. The obtained results show that at moderate strength of nonlinearity a spreading over the lattice in time takes place with an algebraic growth of number of populated sites Deltan proportional to tnu. This spreading continues up to a maximal dimensionless time scale t...

We study gate-controlled, low-temperature resistance and magnetotransport in indium-doped CdSe quantum dot field effect transistors. We show that using the gate to accumulate electrons in the quantum dot channel increases the "localization product" (localization length times dielectric constant) describing transport at the Fermi level, as expected for Fermi level changes near a mobility edge. O...

We present broadband transient absorption spectroscopy on the fluorescent copolymer poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-benzothiadiazole) under hydrostatic pressure of up to 75 kbar. We observe a strong reduction of the stimulated emission intensity under pressure, coupled with slower decay kinetics and reduced fluorescence intensity. These observations indicate increased delocalization of photogenerat...

Kunkel and colleagues 1 recently published an article on constraint-induced (CI) movement therapy for motor recovery in chronic stroke patients. They presented the results of an uncontrolled series of 5 stroke patients undergoing CI therapy. The authors also presented a review of five studies, including their own, concerning the effectiveness of CI therapy based on a calculation of effect sizes...
